This new volume of poetry by one of Poland's greatest women poets is in part a monothematic collection. After a period of unusually careful reaction to reality, digressive writing, journalist verse and "controversial" poetry, fascination with ancient subjects, notes on impressions from numerous travels, the poet returns to the motifs connected with the detection and contemplation of Nature, verifying as in "a water world" the look of a human face; but in this collection we can find also poems on another subject - on the lapse and beautiful variety of the world, on the language of poetry.
