Frankfurt Book Fair 2006 This year the Frankfurt Book Fair will be held from 4 to 8 October. The more than 7,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries will take part in the world's largest trade fair for books. This year's Guest of Honour is India with the motto "Today’s India". During the Book Fair the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade will be awarded. This year the Peace Prize is going to the German sociologist and Rector of the Wissenschaftskolleg, the German Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin, Wolf Lepenies. more »

Sample Translations ©POLANDThe new program of the Book Institute, SAMPLE TRANSLATIONS ©POLAND, starts January 1st 2007. The aim of the program, addressed to translators of Polish literature, is to promote Polish literature abroad through encouraging translators to present Polish books to foreign publishers.
