Polish Nominees for the European Prize for Literature

Twelve Polish writers, including Jacek Dehnel, Dorota Masłowska, and Jacek Dukaj, have been nominated for the freshly-announced European Prize for Literature. The winner will be declared in May.

Bologna Children's Book Fair

The Fair of Books for Children and Young People in Bologna is the most important international event for the children’s publishing market. Publishers, literary agents, authors, illustrators and translators of children’s literature will all come to Bologna; the fair is also visited by film and television producers, and producers of educational toys. This 46th edition of the fair will go on from March 23rd to 26th. The guest of honor of this year’s fair is Korea.

Transatlantic Prize 2009

Only 2 weeks left to place your candidate for the Transatlantic Prize. This year the award, presented for the fifth time, will coincide with the 2nd Polish Literature Translators’ Congress which is to be held in June. The Transatlantic Prize is awarded by the Book Institute to outstanding ambassador of Polish literature abroad.
