The Book Institute reminds that 31st of January is the deadline for submitting nominations for Found in Translation Award. The Award was announced 2 years ago by the Polish Book Institute, the Polish Cultural Institute in London, the Polish Cultural Institute in New York and W.A.B. Publishing House in Warsaw.

The Book Institute Adopts the Rights to Janusz Korczak’s Books

On the strength of a copyright ownership transfer contract of December 24th, 2009, inked between the Ministry of the State Treasury and the Book Institute, copyright ownership for the work of Janusz Korczak, covering his entire oeuvre, has been transferred to the Book Institute in Krakow.

The Ryszard Kapuściński Award

January 23rd marked the third anniversary of the death of Ryszard Kapuściński, the master of literary reportage and the most outstanding writer among reporters. On this occasion the Capital City of Warsaw and Gazeta Wyborcza have established the Ryszard Kapuściński Award.
