Celebrated and controversial writer Dorota Maslowska will appear at the Brooklyn Book Festival on September 12, 2010. After appearing at the Brooklyn Book Festival, Maslowska will be in residence at Ledig House, a writers' colony situated in the Hudson River Valley.

Found in Translation Award 2010

On September 27th at the University of Illinois in Chicago the Found in Translation Award will be delivered by the Book Institute and the Institute of Polish Culture in London and New York. This year’s winner for best translation of Polish literature into English will be Danuta Borchardt for her rendering of "Pornografia" by Witold Gombrowicz.
