Poland at the Book Fair in Leipzig

As in years previous, the Book Institute is organizing the Polish presentation at the Book Fair in Leipzig, which will be taking place this year from March 18th-21st. The exhibitions at the Polish stand will include new publications from 2009 and spring 2010. As usual, we will also be displaying the output of the ©POLAND Translation Program, i.e. translations of Polish literature offered by foreign publishers and financed by the Book Institute program, which has been active for over 10 years. Moreover, visitors to the Polish booth will be able to get acquainted with the latest publications for children and young people, as well as books by authors invited to this year’s fair: Tomasz Różycki and Wojciech Jagielski.

Apart from the literary evenings organized at the Polish Institute in Leipzig, two books for children will also be presented at the fair: "Little Chopin," with the participation of the author, Michał Rusinek, and "D.O.M.E.K" by Aleksandra Machowiak and Daniel Mizieliński, featuring architect Jacek Rzyski.

The literary program accompanying the fair was developed in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Leipzig.

Before his visit to Leipzig, reporter Wojciech Jagielski will be reading at the Polish Institute in Berlin (Thursday, March 18th, 8:00 p.m., hosted by Olaf Kühl).
