“Sklepy cynamonowe” in Danish and other new translations of Polish books

As the end of the year approaches and the completion of projects funded by the Minister under the Magazines, Literature, Partnership for the book, and Promotion of Reading programmes, the Book Institute reminds the Beneficiaries of their obligations arising from the provisions of the agreement.

The Book Institute has decided to withdraw from participating in the Angoulême International Comics Festival.

We invite publishers and agents to take part in the Polish collective stand organized by the Book Institute at the International Book Fair in London, taking place from March 10-12, 2026.

Tomorrow, on November 29, will begin the largest book fair in the world after the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara. The Book Institute has prepared a Polish programme in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Mexico.

The China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (CCBF), the largest children's book fair in China and one of the most important industry events in Asia, has concluded. Poland, as in previous years, presented its publishing offer in the Copyright Zone. The participation of Polish publishers in the fair was organized by the Book Institute in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Beijing.

Of particular note is the anthology of Polish short stories titled 'Animales de razas pequeñas. Antología de narrativa breve polaca', which was released in Spain by La Caja Books, translated by an array of distinguished translators: Marta Słyk, Ernesto Rubio, Teresa Benítez, Xavier Farré, Agata Orzeszek, Abel Murcía, and Katarzyna Mołoniewicz.
