O programie
Dziennik Literacki is a web periodical published by the Book Institute; it is a space for literary criticism in its broadest definition.
Behind this publication stands the conviction that there are too few places to talk about and discuss books, to say nothing of columns for debates which, we believe, are worth having about literature. We firmly believe that conversations about books – even at a high temperature – are a vital part of every reading.
The span of genres published in Dziennik Literacki is considerable – from academic texts to reviews of interesting books written in a creative passion, at least one new piece appears every day. The editorial team is guided by the thought that they should use the medium’s possibilities to the full so that it best serves the readers’ needs. Here nothing needs to be printed, we are not limited by space considerations, not to speak of distribution. Observations of this sort – in a sense, perhaps, naive – inevitably inspire a utopian vision of endless polemics, in-depth analyses, exhaustive descriptions, bound by the book and nothing else. Sounds tempting, right? There’s no reason not to try. Drop by the Dziennik Literacki web site.
