“Piotruś” by Leo Lipski in Serbia and other new translations

In recent months a number of Polish books have been translated abroad, including, among others, Piotruś by Leo Lipski into Serbian (another recent translation of this novel after Dalibor Blažina’s Croatian version) and Opowiadania wybrane by Kornel Filipowicz into Ukrainian.

Within the ©Poland Translation Programme we supported translations of the following titles:

  • Kornel Filipowicz, Opowiadania wybrane – translated into Ukrainian by Yurii Matevoshchuk, FOP Zavadskyi Iurii Romanovych
  • Joanna Karpowicz, Anubis – translated into Korean by Eui-Jeen Ahn, Barambooks
  • Leo Lipski, Piotruś – translated into Serbian by Milica Markić, Prometej
  • Anna Matysiak, Srebro Fermiego i inne wybrane wiersze – translated into Danish by Paweł Partyka and Frej Larsen, Det Poetiske Bureaus Forlag
  • Anna Skowrońska, Woda – translated into Italian by Barbara Delfino, Il Gatto Verde
  • Aleksandra Wojtaszek, Fjaka. Sezon na Chorwację – translated into Italian by Giorgia Maurovich, Bottega Errante
  • Urszula Honek, Białe noce – translated into Macedonian by Zvonko Dimoski, PNV Publikacii

A second call for proposals for the ©Poland Translation Programme is currently open; it will close on 15 September 2026.

In July the first call for ©Poland Translation Programme was concluded. Results can be found in the programme section on our website and at the address provided.
