Twenty-fourth edition of the newsletter for translators of Polish literature

The twenty-fourth edition of our Newsletter ‘New Books from Poland’ covers the period from September to November 2025. It is distributed quarterly to translators of Polish literature from around the globe, presenting the most intriguing publishing novelties from recent months that may appeal to foreign readers.

This time, translators can explore titles such as:

Found in Translation Award 2026: nominations open

The Polish Book Institute, the Polish Cultural Institute London and the Polish Cultural Institute New York are now accepting nominations for this year’s edition of the Found in Translation Award, honouring the best translation of Polish literature into English in 2024.

Applications for the first edition of the Adam Wodnicki Scholarship until January 15

There are still just under two weeks to submit entries for the Adam Wodnicki Scholarship. The scholarship was established to honor Adam Wodnicki, an outstanding visual artist, translator of French literature, and writer. Its purpose is to recognize the best translation into Polish, published in book form.

We have concluded the recruitment for the Translators’ Collegium for the year 2026!

We are excited to announce the participants of next year's edition of the Translators' Collegium. In 2026, 55 translators of Polish literature from around the world will come to Krakow and Warsaw.

Polish-Turkish translation workshops in Ankara

From October 20 to 24, 2025, a literary translation workshop from Turkish to Polish took place in Ankara, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey as part of the TEDA translation and support programme.

Marcel Weyland passed away

Marcel Weyland, a translator of Polish poetry into English, lawyer and architect, died on Saturday, October 18.
