International book fairs

On Sunday, 8 February, the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE), one of the largest trade fairs in Southeast Asia, came to an end. For the fifth time, the Book Institute, in cooperation with the Polish Office in Taipei, organized a Polish stand. The event was visited by 570,000 readers and featured around 500 exhibitors.

Today, February 3rd, marks the start of the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE). For the fifth time, the Book Institute, in collaboration with the Polish Office in Taipei, is hosting a stand, strengthening the presence of Polish literature in the Taiwanese market.

For the first time in history, our country is being showcased at the Cairo International Book Fair. The Egyptian event is one of the most important fairs in the Arab world.

We are pleased to inform you about the conclusion of the illustration creators' contest. The winners will receive PLN 5000 gross to cover travel and accommodation costs during the Bologna Children's Book Fair (April 13–16, 2026) – the most important event in the world of children's books.

This three-day series of meetings for publishers from Poland and abroad is organized by the Wytwórnia publishing house in collaboration with the Book Institute and is part of the Mały Koneser Festival and Children’s Book Publishers Fair.

We invite curators to participate in the competition to develop a comprehensive concept and oversee the curation of an exhibition presenting Polish children's literature and illustrations. The exhibition will be realized during the Bologna Children's Book Fair in 2027 as part of Poland's presence as the guest of honour.

Last Sunday, December 7, the largest book fair in the world after the Frankfurt Book Fair concluded — the Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara. The Book Institute prepared the Polish program in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Mexico.

The Book Institute invites Polish illustrators to take part in a competition aimed at supporting creators in promoting their work internationally at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, 13–16 April 2026.

The Book Institute has decided to withdraw from participating in the Angoulême International Comics Festival.

We invite publishers and agents to take part in the Polish collective stand organized by the Book Institute at the International Book Fair in London, taking place from March 10-12, 2026.

Tomorrow, on November 29, will begin the largest book fair in the world after the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara. The Book Institute has prepared a Polish programme in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Mexico.
