65 years of ‘Odra’. Jubilee issue now available

On March 11, the annual award ceremony of the magazine ‘Nowe Książki’ was held at the ZODIAK Architecture Pavilion in Warsaw. The winner of the 25th edition was Marek Bieńczyk for the book Rondo Wiatraczna (Karakter).

On Sunday, 8 February, the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE), one of the largest trade fairs in Southeast Asia, came to an end. For the fifth time, the Book Institute, in cooperation with the Polish Office in Taipei, organized a Polish stand. The event was visited by 570,000 readers and featured around 500 exhibitors.

We are pleased to inform you about the conclusion of the illustration creators' contest. The winners will receive PLN 5000 gross to cover travel and accommodation costs during the Bologna Children's Book Fair (April 13–16, 2026) – the most important event in the world of children's books.

There are still just under two weeks to submit entries for the Adam Wodnicki Scholarship. The scholarship was established to honor Adam Wodnicki, an outstanding visual artist, translator of French literature, and writer. Its purpose is to recognize the best translation into Polish, published in book form.

Last Sunday, December 7, the largest book fair in the world after the Frankfurt Book Fair concluded — the Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara. The Book Institute prepared the Polish program in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Mexico.

From December 4–8 the La Nuvola convention center in Rome hosted a book fair for small and medium-sized publishers. As part of the event, the Book Institute, in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Rome and the Keller Editore publishing house, organized an author meeting with Wojciech Górecki, whose 'Abkhazia' was published this year in Italy.
