In Slovenia, the translation of Czas Pogardy (“Time of Contempt”) was published. The translation by Klemen Pisk was supported by the Book Institute under the ©POLAND Translation Programme.

The book was published by the Mladinska knjiga založba publishing house. Translated into Slovenian, the title of the volume reads Čas prezira. Previously, the same publishing house had already published three other books by Sapkowski about the Witcher Geralt of Rivia – the short story volumes Meč usode (“Sword of Destiny”), Zadnja želja (“The Last Wish”), and the first part of the novel saga – Vilinska kri (“Blood of Elves”).

Time of Contempt is the second part of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novel saga about the famous Witcher Geralt of Rivia. Sapkowski’s series has been acclaimed by readers and critics all over the world, and in Poland is considered one of the pinnacles of Polish fantasy literature.

Andrzej Sapkowski is one of the most eminent Polish fantasy writers, author of the books about the Witcher Geralt, as well as, among others, the so-called Hussite trilogy, which includes the novels Lux Perpetua (“Light Perpetual”), Boży Bojownicy (“Warriors of God”), and Narrenturm (“The Tower of Fools”).  Thanks to CD Projekt Red studio’s adaptation of The Witcher’s adventures into computer games, his work is known and admired around the world.
