Łępicka, Rybicki and Suszczyńska at the Vilenica Festival
Joanna Łępicka, Robert Rybicki and Natalka Suszczyńska will participate in a series of events, including the premiere of an anthology of contemporary Polish literature edited by Miłosz Biedrzycki and translated by Jana Unuk.
On the occasion of the festival the Vilenica Prize will also be presented; it is awarded by the Slovenian Writers’ Association to writers from Central Europe. So far the award has been given four times to Polish writers — Zbigniew Herbert, Adam Zagajewski, Andrzej Stasiuk and Olga Tokarczuk. This year the prize will be received by Serhij Zhadan.
The Book Institute has co-financed the participation of the Polish authors under the Nonstop — Polish literature abroad programme.

The aim of the Nonstop — Polish literature abroad programme is to promote the literary and artistic work of Polish authors and the translations of their works. Under the programme, the Book Institute supports not only authors’ travel but also publishers and agents seeking to promote Polish literature worldwide.
